New Zealand
New Zealand residents are eligible for Eurail, and Rail Europe sells a Global Pass covering 33 European countries. Passes can include hotel and museum discounts and free ferry trips, although reservations may cost extra. Customers should select New Zealand as residence, compare Flexi and Continuous validity, and confirm class, activation deadline and final currency.
Rail Europe states that a totally unused, non-activated Eurail pass can receive a 100 % refund when requested before the final activation date shown on the mobile pass. New Zealand residents can buy Eurail passes online for European travel. Travellers should keep the pass inactive, observe the deadline, check product-specific conditions and obtain confirmation before assuming a refund is due.
Rail Europe lets customers create free email alerts when a timetable or fare has not yet been released. New Zealand travellers can use the service for European journeys and book online when inventory opens. An alert does not reserve a seat or guarantee the lowest price, so customers should compare the released fare, booking fee, currency, exchange conditions and operator rules before paying.
